Razzak injured, won't tour Zim
The Bangladeshi spinner Abdur Razzak won't be touring Zimbabwe, having been ruled out with a hamstring related injury. This is another blow to Bangladesh who have already lost key fast bowler Mashrafe Mortaza to injury.
Razzak will be replaced by Enamul Haque junior.
Northerns sign Barney Rogers, question marks over Trevor Gripper
Northerns are believed to have got the signature of former Test batsman Barney Rogers for the upcoming franchise league.
While indications were made that Trevor Gripper would soon follow, it has been revealed on zimcricketforums.com by someone who had spoken to Gripper that it was a publicity stunt and that "nobody [had] contacted him to play".
The addition of Gripper would have been useful, he is one of the few batsmen left in the country to have recorded a Test century. Allegedly, he has not ruled out a comeback at domestic level in one day matches.

The Zimbabwe Independent has revealed the franchise sponsors. They are:
- Northerns: Colcom Holdings Limited
- Easterns: Sakunda Energy Petroleum
- Centrals: Steelmakers
- Southerns: Nicoz Diamond
- Matabeleland: Metropolitan Bank
