Roland Vermeulen was very good at athletics, and even represented Zimbabwe. He made his First Class debut in 2007 for the Northerns at age 31, which by Zimbabwean domestic standards is pension age, and made 17 runs. It is unlikely he will play more First Class cricket. In recent years he has represented Old Hararians.
