Masakadza, Hamilton

Major Teams Represented: Zimbabwe, Easterns, Takashinga
Born: 1983

ODI Shirt Number: #3

Hamilton Masakadza was for a short while the youngest person to score a Test match century, which he scored against the West Indies in 2001 (this record was later taken by Mohammed Ashraful). Masakadza has become one of the most experienced players in the Zimbabwe squad, and is more at home in the longer format of the game. He plays in the middle order for Zimbabwe, while he is possibly better as a top order batsman. During the Pakistan series in 2008, Masakadza captained the team in the absence of Prosper Utseya.

After some poor form at the beginning of the Bangladesh tour in early 2009, he hit back with 3 half centuries against Kenya in the next tour.

Club (2007): Takashinga
