A 58 run partnership between Brendan Taylor and Chamu Chibhabha saved Zimbabwe from humiliation against the Dolphins in the Chevrons latest Standard Bank Pro20 match. While it wasn't enough to save the team from defeat, it did get them within 4 balls of an upset.

Brendan Taylor top scored for the Chevrons, with 55 from 36 balls. The knock included 4 fours and 2 sixes, and has elevated Taylor to Zimbabwe's leading run scorer for the series.

Chibhabha scored 24 from 26, with only a single boundary. The only other batsman to reach double figures was Hamilton Masakadza, with 14 including 2 fours.

Daryn Smit and Jon Kent each took 3 wickets for the Dolphins.

Zimbabwe scored 8/131 after their 20 overs.

In reply, Dolphins made 6/132 from 19.2 overs with Doug Watson leading the way with 35. Keith Dabengwa led a mini fightback, with 3/19 from his 4 overs, but it wasn't enough to save the match. Timycen Maruma took 1/25 from four overs, while Prosper Utseya was involved in both run outs. Elton Chigumbura and Ray Price were both expensive, conceding 9.5 an over from their 2 and 4 overs respectively.

Prosper Utseya was extremely economical, conceding 3.9 an over, of which he bowled 3.2.

Brendan Taylor was named batsman of the match, while Daryn Smit took the honours of best bowler.
