Playing for Pretoria High School Old Boys in the South African Northern Premiers League, Charles Coventry broke all sorts of records during his 320 run knock. It is the Zimbabwean batsman's first triple century in any form of cricket.

PHSOB scored 2/607 from their 60 overs at a run rate of 10.12. The unfortunate opposition were the Centurion Kavaliers at the Hofmeyr Park cricket ground.

Coventry's 320 is a new record for the Northerns Premier League. Jacques van Heerden was unbeaten on 204, while the most expensive bowler was Martin Schmidt with 0/146 from 14 overs.

Centurion were bowled all out in just 16.5 overs, for 105. Rico du Plessis was the only play to put up a fight, with a score of 40. Graham Fawkes did the damage with the ball for PHSOB, with 3/13 from 3 overs. Stefan Coetzee chipped in with 3/55 from 7 overs.

Reportedly, Coventry clashed wih former coach Kevin Curran on their 2006 West Indies tour which led to his departure from the national team. With the South African Pro20 series coming up, as well as a new coach in Robin Brown, Coventry's hard hitting nature may see him gain selection again.
