Hamilton Masakadza, one of Zimbabwe's stars in the recently played ICC World Twenty20, has injured his finger at a training session ahead of Sri Lanka A's upcoming tour. The top order batsman tore the ligament in his finger, and will be out of action for at least 6 weeks. He hopes to recover ahead of West Indies tour consisting of 3 ODI's later this year, although doctors say chances of that are still 50-50.

Sri Lanka A will play 2 unofficial Tests (4-day matches) and 2 unofficial ODI's (50 over matches) against the full Zimbabwean team.

There is some good news for Zimbabwe, in that Sean Williams has fully recovered and is training with the team. It is expected he will be a direct replacement for Masakadza.
