Pakistan demolish Zimbabwe in the final ODIPosted by brmtaylor.com admin on February 02, 2008
Zimbabwe managed to score just 183 in their innings, a score they would not have got near if it wasn't for a recovery effort by Brendan Taylor who scored 50 - his thirteenth ODI half century. Scorers later revealed they had made an error and he was out for 49.
Ray Price was the only bowler who made an impact, with a classy 2/38. The match was sealed with a 6 from Misbah-ul-Haq from his final ball. Just prior, Misbah stepped back to give himself room while Price stopped in his delivery, cheekily smiling while Misbah saw the humour. He did the same thing off the next ball to hit the winning 6.
For a change (and by a user request) this match run down will be done in images. Apologies for the poor image quality at times, it was the best that I could manage.

Run outs cost Zimbabwe dearly, losing both Sibanda and Brent to poor calling.
On other occasions, poor fielding allowed Zimbabwe to run quick singles.
