Peter Chingoka spoke to Cricinfo

For the past year or so, Zimbabwe Cricket have refused to speak to Cricinfo.com. There is a growing belief, but still unconfirmed officially, that this stance has changed following a quote on the Cricinfo website.

In the recently published article "Chingoka hopeful on tour of England" - link - one paragraph states:

"Our focus is more about ICC, about ensuring that the FTP remains sacrosanct," Chingoka told Cricinfo. "We're looking to play more as opposed to excuses to not play each other. It's important that the family looks after every member and that all nations look after one another so that the business gets stronger and bigger. Otherwise we are not being true to the globalisation of the game."

The key line being "Chingoka told Cricinfo".

The article itself doesn't reveal any major surprises, but it was nice to see him praise Brendan Taylor:

"Chigumbara is a quality allrounder, Taylor is a good player and we have a number of other promising players as well," reasoned Chingoka. "We hope to be able to put up some solid performances in Pakistan and give a good account of ourselves."

In other news, Zimbabwe Provinces are currently playing Namibia and are well on top having bowled them out for a first innings score of just over 100, leading by over 200 runs. Namibia cannot win, and it appears that the game may end up being a draw, but a good third day bowling performance will see Zimbabwe Provinces walk away with the win. Regis Chakabva starred with the bat, scoring his maiden First Class century, while captain Blessing Mahwire took 4 wickets.
