The Zimbabwe selectors have named a massive 19-man squad ahead of their 5 match ODI series against West Indies later this week.

There are perhaps only three surprise inclusions, in Terry Duffin, Trevor Garwe and Blessing Mahwire.

Former captain Terry Duffin has not been selected in the ODI team since the World Cup, and is seen to be more of a Test match specialist.

Trevor Garwe and Blessing Mahwire are both fast bowlers, and were most likely included in the squad to balance out a side that is otherwise top heavy with spin.

Graeme Cremer, Prosper Utseya, Timycen Maruma and Raymond Price are all specialist spinners, with Keith Dabengwa and Sean Williams batting allrounders, who also bowl a lot of spin.

There are no major surprises in the batting department, although it is expected that Sean Williams will replace Stuart Matsikenyeri.

There was no room in the squad for Tino Mawoyo, who performed well in the First Class match against the South African Composite XI.
