This coming weekend on the 6th and 7th of June, a Twenty20 Tournament is going to be held at Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare as a memorial for the late Abi Hamid. Abi Hamid was a match referee and a popular figure around Old Hararians, where he continued to play in the second division and was the club chairman until he passed away on March 29 2009.

Four teams are scheduled to take part in this tournament.

Teams taking part in this tournament are last seasons Harare Metropolitan Vigne Cup winners Royal Cricket Club, runners up Uprising Cricket Club, third placed Takashinga and the fourth side is host Old Hararians. Each team is expected to play 2 games on Saturday in the morning and in the afternoon. On Sunday morning the remaining games will be played.

This means that each team is going to play each other once before the final between the top two teams on Sunday afternoon. The Twenty20 will be played using coloured uniforms. It was originally scheduled to have been played two weeks ago but was postponed to this coming weekend. Hopefully this time it's not going to be postponed once again.
