Former Matabeleland wicket keeper Wisdom Siziba passed away on April 15th in South Africa. He was 28. Cricinfo reports that he was epileptic, and experienced heart failure while doing laundry.

Emerging from the high density area of Emakhandeni, Siziba was a good domestic player who was fortunate enough to play during a time when most of Zimbabwe's top players were still playing in the domestic leagues.

He experienced the most success in First Class cricket, scoring over 1000 runs including 5 half centuries and 1 century. His highest score was 103 against Midlands. Besides playing, we also was a coach for Zimbabwe Cricket (then called Zimbabwe Cricket Union).

He left Zimbabwe for South Africa at the conclusion of the 2004-05 domestic season.
