This years Deodhar Trophy, which Zimbabwe were invited to be the BCCI, will be held from March 13 to March 18 with the games held at Barabati Stadium, Ravenshaw University and the Sunshine Ground - all in Cuttack. Cuttack is known as the Millennium City and lies in eastern India, it is the cultural captial of the Orissa state.
In addition to Zimbabwe, 5 Indian zonal sides will participate; Central Zone, North Zones, West Zone, South Zone and East Zone.
It is unlikely that the Zimbabwe XI will contain many first team players, as Canada are set to tour Zimbabwe between March 18 and March 26 for 4 ODI's which would cause a fixture clash if Zimbabwe XI made the Deodhar Trophy final. However, if the Canada tour involves a warm up match before the 4 ODI's, it could be possible that the team could return from India ahead of the one day series.
Zimbabwe XI are guaranteed of playing at least 2 games, against South Zone and West Zone. They could potentially play 3 if they make the tournament final.
