Price, Ray

Major Teams Represented: Zimbabwe, Northerns, Harare Sports Club
Born: 1976

Price has been on the scene for many years, debuting in 1995 for the Mashonaland Country Districts. He is a world class left-arm orthodox bowler, having proven himself at Test level. He hasn't had so much success at ODI level, but after several years playing for Worcestershire, he made himself available again for Zimbabwe, where he will look to rectify his poor ODI record. Like most Zimbabwean bowlers, he is a very handy lower order batsman, with an unbeaten First Class century to his name.

He is a very economical bowler who has been one of Zimbabwe's best since he returned to the team. He was the winner of zimcricketforums.com's inaugural Player of the Year award for 2008.

In January 2009 he was Zimbabwe's outstanding player on their tour of Bangladesh. In the 1st ODI against Bangladesh, Ray Price struck 23 not out including consecutive 4's from the last over to secure an exciting victory for Zimbabwe.
