Hondo quit Zimbabwe cricket due to an ongoing injury, although an order to shave his dreadlocks was probably the straw that broke the camels back. A talented pace bowler, he now plays for Alexandria in the National League. With 9 Tests and 56 ODI's under his belt, he was a massive loss to the team, but he always struggled in international cricket, with both his bowling averages in the mid 30's.
